"The New Year" is the time at which a new calendar year begins and the calendar's year count increments by one. Many cultures celebrate the event in some manner. The New Year of the Gregorian calendar, used mostly in today's time, falls on January 1st. Many countries, such as the United States, Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, and the UK, mark January 1st as an official national holiday. Amazing how it’s always celebrated during the Capricorn Season!
*Note: The Gregorian calendar, also called the Western calendar and the Christian calendar, is internationally the most widely used civil calendar. It is named for Pope Gregory XIII, who introduced it in 1582.
